There are three major options in French: French Studies, Languages and Cultures for Professions (Business or Engineering).

Major Option I: French Studies

Eight additional credits at the 300- or 400-level

Curricular Notes: Frnch 440 and either Frnch 471 or Frnch 472 must be completed on campus and may not be fulfilled through transfer or study abroad.

Major Option II: Languages and Cultures for Professions (Business)

The Languages and Cultures for Professions (Business) option is available only as a second major for students with a primary major in the College of Business. This option requires a total of at least 30 credits beyond the 202 level.

Major Option III: Languages and Cultures for Professions (Engineering)

The Language and Cultures for Professions (Engineering) option is available only as a second major for students with a primary major in the College of Engineering. This option requires a total of at least 30 credits beyond the 202 level.

The Minor: The French minor requires a total of at least 16 credits in French beyond the 102 level, 10 credits of which must be at the 300-level.

Option 1: 16 credits in French, at least 10 of which at the 300 level including 301, 310, 314, and either 333 or 334.

Option 2: 16 credits in French, at least 10 of which at the 300 level, including 395.

Curricular Notes: Frnch 395 (Study Abroad) counts toward the minor, but Frnch 370, 375, and 378 do not.
