Minors - Classical Studies and Latin
07/09 Catalog Classical Studies offers a formal minor within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences which introduces you to the basic aspects of the discipline and an introduction to its methods. Three required courses give you a basic understanding of the language and thought of the Ancient Greek and/or Roman world. These are: one year of either Latin or Ancient Greek (101 and 102); and either Cl St 273 (273H), Greek and Roman Mythology, or Cl St 275 (275H), The Ancient City. In addition to the required courses, three additional courses will be taken, two at the 300-level or above, in Cl St, Greek, Latin, or appropriate areas approved by the Classical Studies Chair. Choose your additional courses from the list below.
The World Languages and Cultures Department offers a Latin Minor, = 15 cr. in the language studies, nine of which are 300-level and above.
