Check your system

For these courses, you will need to use a browser that works well with WebCT, the learning management system supported by Iowa State University. The following are the oldest supported browsers (newer browsers will work as well):

Windows:

Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape 6.2, or AOL 7.0

Macs:

OS 9 or higher with Internet Explorer 5.1 or Netscape 6.2

Besides making sure you have the right browser, you will need software that is usually available in most computers. However, to make sure, do the following checks:

Some of the assignments and tests will entail reading Latin aloud or otherwise communicating with your classmates or instructor. In order to keep track of your process, you may be asked to send recordings of yourself reading Latin. Click on the icon below to test if your browser works with the Horizon Wimba Voice tools. Close the new window after you finish the test.
