Latin 101XW. Elementary Latin I: Cr.4. Grammar and vocabulary of classical Latin, within the context of Roman culture; reading knowledge through texts adapted from classical authors.

Latin 102 XW. Elementary Latin II: Cr. 4. Prereq: Latin 101or 101XW.  Latin 102 builds on what students have learned in Latin 101 through continued mastery of Latin word forms, grammar and syntax, and vocabulary, towards the goal of reading Latin texts and developing an understanding of Roman culture.

ClSt 201X. Technical Terminology in Professions. Cr. 3. Essential vocabulary and concepts in English that are derived from Latin and Ancient Greek. Formation and usage of technical terminology. Cultural influence of the classical languages. Analysis of technical writings.
