Interests

I am very excited to be a new lecturer of German for the 2008-9 academic year. I am currently teaching German 101 and 201. Other than that, I am a Ph.D. candidate in German literature at Vanderbilt University finishing my dissertation on terrorism in contemporary German fiction.

I received my B.A. at Middle Tennessee State University and have studied at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz and the Freie Universität in Berlin. I recently returned from a research stay in Regensburg, Germany.

My other academic interests include media theory, experimental writing, and radical culture in art.
