Requirements for Business Students pursuing the second major option in French
The secondary major option in French requires at least 30 credits beyond the 202 level.

 

 
I. International Business Secondary Major (12 credits from approved list)

French 302 Reading and Writing French II (3 cr.)

French 304 French for Business and Professions (3 cr.)
French 310 Pronunciation (1 cr.)

French 440 Seminar in French or Francophone Studies (3 cr.)
French 499 Internship (3 cr.)

 
Curricular Notes: FRNCH 395 or 499 fulfills the IB 3-month international experience requirement. FRNCH 304, 395 and 499 may be double counted under OPTION 1. Students may only enroll in the Languages and Cultures for Professions (LCP) Option in French as a Secondary Major only. They may not graduate with the Secondary Major.

French 334 Topics in Early Modern and Modern French Literature (3 cr.) and French 472 Modern French Civilization (3 cr.)

 
C. Elective (5 credits)

Five additional credits at the 300- or 400-level instructed in French

 

Curricular Notes: Students may only enroll in the Languages and Cultures for Professions (LCP) Option in French as a Secondary Major only. They may not graduate with the Secondary Major.

 

French 395 (8 credits) counts towards the minor and may be allocated as follows: generic 300-level credits (1-8 cr.), French 310 (1 cr.), French 320 (3 cr.). French 440 (3 cr.) is cross-listed with Frnch 333/334 and may be taken after a student has successfully completed French 333 or French 334.
