This is a long section, for you are getting all the participles in one chapter, as well as many of their functions. The Latin participle is wonderfully rich in its abilities but also economical in its forms. There are only four: present active, future active, perfect passive, and future passive. In these presentations we define the participle and review its uses in English. The first part of the following presentation (Part A) introduces you to the concept of the participle as well as demonstrates the formation of the present active participle.
This second portion of the presentation demonstrates the uses of the participle as well as the formation of both the perfect passive and the future active and passive forms.
