I am an Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies who teaches a wide range of courses dealing with Hispanic literature and culture. My research interests include early modern Spanish and Latin American literature and culture, transatlantic studies and general cultural studies of Spain. In 2005 I was awarded the ISU Foundation Award for Early Achievement in Teaching and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Cassling Family Award for Early Achievement in Teaching.
