and resources here will answer many of your questions regarding
our department, your academic program, major,
or minor at ISU. Here are a few tips to get you started:
- The Iowa
State University Catalog which you
have declared for your major is your first stop for questions on
courses, minors, majors,
and policies. Checking the
catalog first will save you time and avoid potential problems later.
- The Foreign Languages and
Literatures Web Site will
answer many of your questions on course requirements and resources
available in
the Department.
- Planning your schedule in advance and with some
thought to personal or career goals will save you time and frustration.
This is particularly
important if you are planning a second major or want to participate
in an internship or study abroad program.
- Before meeting with your academic advisor, pick
up your Degree Audit and FLL
Checklist from the departmental office.
The Checklist must be reviewed and signed in order to schedule
an appointment with your academic advisor.
- Keep in touch with your advisor if you are planning
